Job title: Regulatory and Safety Compliance Manager

Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Reports to: As defined by the organizational chart

Summary:

Manage compliance and safety departments. Oversee all regulatory reporting. Develop and implement training policies. Assist in strategic long-term planning and implementation of business policies.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Required Competency):

Corporate Management

· Responsible for developing and sustaining EHS management system to ensure standardization across all facilities, regulatory compliance, and continual improvement.

· Drive a culture of safety throughout the company at all levels.

· Work with site and company managers to develop and implement EHS initiatives, and operational integration of EHS best practices.

· Development and implementation of organization EHS training.

· Continuous on-site interaction at facilities to achieve EHS goals/targets.

· Conduct audits to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

· Conduct frequent site safety inspections, safety behavior observations ensuring that all site safety hazards are identified, communicated, and controlled.

· Investigate near-misses to identify causes and prevent reoccurrence.

· Conduct and review risk assessments using risk management principles.

· Monitor PPE equipment to ensure proper equipment is appropriate, available, and maintained.

· Oversee and approve regulatory responses.

· Oversee environmental regulations and waste stream management for facilities.

· Ensure that all Federal, State, corporate, and customer health, safety, and security requirements are followed and that reporting documentations are submitted in a timely manner.

· Management Representative responsibilities for ISO 9001 Quality System.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Special Projects

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Consultants for Safety and Compliance.
  • All employees with regards to Safety.
  • All employees with regards to Compliance.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations management is required.

Additional Training Required:

  • General product knowledge and awareness.
  • Human Resource training.
  • Regulatory compliance, access multiple sources including ACD / ChemEdge and other seminars.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit (60%) and occasionally stand (20%) or walk (20%)
  • The employee is occasionally expected to lift, move and/or carry material weighing less than 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
